Joint project "Implementation in the markets of Ukraine and other CIS countries of modern draw-in technologies and polymeric materials for repairing sewer, water supply and heat pipelines, concrete structures"

For project implementation, the efforts of institutes of the National Academy of Sciences and project organizations of Ukraine were combined on the UFI initiative.

A comparative complex analysis of draw-in technologies for reconstruction and repair of sewer, water supply and heat pipelines proved that the trolining method is the most efficient one among other modern methods. It was worked out in 1993-1994 by German concern "TROPLACT".

The first stage of project implementation included consideration of possible replacement of expensive imported materials (liner and injector) with home-made ones; this would allow to considerably decrease the costs of repair works. Employment of new domestic technologies for restoration of concrete and cleaning of metal surfaces from rust and deposit was also considered.

Proposals on application of these technologies for repairing Livoberezhzhia central collector in Kyiv were filed to the Production Policy Central Office of Kyiv State Administration.
