On November 13, 2003 the annual meeting of the Ukrainian Federation of Informatics (UFI) took place. At the meeting the following decisions were taken: In accordance with the constitution 30 % rotation of the Council of Federation and its governing bodies was carried out. Academician Ivan Sergiyenko was elected the President of the federation for the next five years term. Corresponding Member of National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Alexander Palagin, Deputy Director of the Institute of Cybernetics of NASU and Academician of NASU Michael Zgurovsky, Rector of National Technical University of Ukraine "Kiev Polytechnic Institute", were elected vice presidents. The responsibilities of the vice presidents were divided as follows:

A. Palagin - organizational and financial issues. M. Zgurovsky - educational and research programs, international cooperation, interactions with international organizations and governmental institutions in Ukraine.

Amendments and additions to the constitution have been introduced in connection with changes in the Ukrainian legislature in the course of the last five years and taking into account the GI constitution which you sent to us earlier. Now these amendments are being registered at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine by our lawyer. Immediately after registration (approximately in two weeks) the revised constitution will be placed on our site and also sent to you.

At the annual meeting the issue of the Ukrainian Federation of Informatics joining CEPIS was considered and the corresponding decision taken.
